About Champion LakeS Rowing

ABOUT Us

Champion Lakes Rowing is a social rowing group located at the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre in the City of Armadale. Established fifteen years ago, we are one division of the larger Champion Lakes Boating Club

As a social rowing group, our focus is on participation and having fun rather than on performance and competing. Our members range in age from 12 to 74 and skill levels range from complete beginners to many years of rowing experience.

The Champion Lakes Regatta Centre covers 55 hectares including a 2000m eight lane rowing lake surrounded by scenic wetlands and a 5km walking and cycling track. Our on-site boat shed stores our collection of rowing boats including single sculls, doubles and quads, all available for members to use. Privately owned boats may also be stored in the shed.

A 4-week Learn to Row course is available for beginners to learn the basics of rowing in a friendly and safe environment. For those able to row, we meet regularly to enjoy the experience of getting out on the water. We welcome new members, young and old, so come down and join us for some fun and exercise in a great location.
